I'd read about Frank Lucas prior to watching this movie. I watched a documentary on the history channel regarding him also. Lucas had no redeeming qualities imho. In the documentary he stated he didn't regret anything he ever did. I think the movie portrayed him in to positive a light for my tastes..It was a good movie nevertheless.. The good cop got the ultimate bad guy in the end but nothing changed since there are always criminals waiting in line to become the next criminal kingpin. My son watched the movie with me. He wants to know if I'd turn a million dollars in to the legal authorities like officer Richie did if I ever found this much money. I told him that after watching "No Country For Old Men" that I'd certainly give this option a lot more consideration. ;-)
...for some deep reason i cant bring myself to watch this movie. and i have been told by someone not known for liberal thoughts that it was excellent. maybe the acting is superb...i hate anyone whom would desecrate a soldiers casket....i desire to slap frank lucas- to me he is a chigurh.
